Claude Barnes is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University and he received both his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University. In 1969, the school board’s lack of recognition of his write-in candidacy for student body president at Dudley High School ultimately ignited a student revolt.
