Elizabeth Wheaton researched and wrote about the Greensboro killings, including the 1981 Institute for Southern Studies special report, "The Third of November," and the book CODENAME: GREENKIL (1986). She spoke about the Communist Workers Party's philosophy and tactics and the affect they had on N.C. union members and other progressive activists. She also addressed the role of informants and agents in the tragedy.
